Knee gets better

I'm still icing my knee (and keeping it elevated), but I am clearly on the mend. Have been able to workout yesterday and today. Stationary bike, eliptical thing, weights, etc. Sooooo, hopefully the knee will continue to heal and I'll be back out on the trail (running and biking, not skiing) soon.

Check Most Recent pics to see Joani leaving the Golomb Ski Cave and heading out into a foot of fresh powder. She has been back for an hour now, and hasn't stopped talking about it yet.

What a way to go

My ski season ended ignominiously yesterday when I took a fall on Heavenly Daze (a relatively easy run) and wound up being dragged down the mountain by Ski Patrol on a toboggan. The diagnosis is a torn MCL (severity 2 out of 3), which is predicted to take 4-6 weeks to heal. So much for the ski season, as well as the early Tri season. Nurse Joani will coddle me back to health, I'm sure.

I had a great time out here for my first full season skiing. The stats:

55 days skiing, 1,180,064 vertical feet, 3 major falls including one double ejection, one minor and one major injury. I ain't no Joani, but I had fun.

I uploaded new pics, so check out Most Recent and Photo Library for the season's pics.
